RFP: Direct Services Provider  (Sept. 29, 2017)

The Lincoln Trail WDB is seeking interested and qualified providers that are able to provide innovative, high quality services to adults, dislocated workers, youth and the business community. The WDB anticipates contracting with an entity that is familiar with WIOA, WIA and/or similar workforce programs.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select a Direct Service Provider to deliver direct workforce services (Adult, Dislocated Worker, Youth Trade, Rapid Response and assist with business services) to job-seeking customers and employer/business customers primarily through the Hub, affiliate career centers or other service outlets throughout the region. Grant funds may be received through multiple federal, state, local and private funding opportunities.

Job Opening: Aging Coordinator  (Sept. 28, 2017)

LTADD is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to assist in the administration of area plans, budgeting, and contract management for the Lincoln Trail Area Development District’s Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living Department.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree with at least two (2) years of relevant experience working with the aging population or aging programs from a financial perspective. Applicants must have excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills. Primary funtions include budgeting and invoicing, astute financial abilities required. Salary DOQ. Must be able to handle multiple projects, work effectively with staff, public officials and general public on a regular basis.

Travel to Frankfort, KY and national conferences necessary.

Board of Directors: Guest Speaker  (Aug. 16, 2017)

Michael L. Browder, Sr., Kentucky Field Office Director for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) discussed the many programs and innovations that are happening with housing issues in Kentucky at the August 16, 2017 Board Meeting of the Lincoln Trail ADD.

These programs include ones assisting the homeless and veterans among others.

ADF Check: Breckinridge County  (July 19, 2017)

Breckinridge County receives a check for $4,741.31 from the Area Development Fund to be used for the Sheriff’'s Department Repeater Project.

Receiving the check for Breckinridge County is Judge/Executive Maurice Lucas. Lincoln Trail ADD First Vice-Chair, Mayor Edna Berger of Elizabethtown is the presenter.

Kentucky Association of Counties Director of Governmental Relations Shellie Hampton addresses the July meeting of the Lincoln Trail ADD Board of Directors.

Ms. Hampton discussed a variety of issues that face Kentucky’s counties including pension programs, tax reform and other funding issues.
