Effective May 1st - Tourism Tax Ordinance
The City of Springfield has adopted an ordinance that imposes a tax upon restaurants, delis, caterers, motels, hotels, and suites. This tax will be used to enhance tourism in the community through events, marketing and tourism promotional efforts. Effective January 1st -Revised Occupational Licensing Ordinance
The ordinance requires persons and business entities within the City of Springfield to possess an occupational license and pay an occupational license tax.
